University City Lions (St. Louis, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Normandy Vikings (St. Louis, MO), 70-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, University City upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Lions host Parkway South (Manchester, MO) to clash with the Patriots in a Suburban - Green bout on Thursday, February 15. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Parkway South lost 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Lindbergh (St. Louis, MO)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Affton Cougars (St. Louis, MO) in a Suburban - Blue bout, on Friday, February 16. Normandy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 57-46 non-league win over Bishop DuBourg (St. Louis, MO).
