Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Winnebago upgrades its record to 10-19 on the season. The Indians host North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a Big Northern bout on Monday, February 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 8-20. North Boone lost 50-35 in their recent non-league bout against South Beloit (South Beloit, IL)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Sycamore will attempt to upgrade on its 11-17 season record.
