Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Central Heights Vikings (Richmond, KS) and the visiting Council Grove Braves (Council Grove, KS), saw Central Heights's basketball squad hold off Council Grove by a count of 40-36.

With the victory, Central Heights upgrades its record to 3-16 on the campaign. The Vikings host Marais des Cygnes Valley (Melvern, KS) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 15. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Marais des Cygnes Valley won 46-40 in their recent non-league challenge against West Franklin (Pomona, KS)

Next up, the Braves play the Riley County Falcons (Riley, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Council Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 37-33 non-league win over Wabaunsee (Alma, KS).
