Kansas High School Basketball - Dighton thwarts Wheatland-Grinnell

The Dighton Hornets (Dighton, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks (Grainfield, KS), 61-47 in Monday's non-league test.

The Hornets (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Rawlins County (Atwood, KS). The Buffaloes go into the non-league test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Rawlins County notched a victory over Golden Plains (Rexford, KS), 56-21, in a non-league test.

The Thunderhawks now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Decatur Community for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Wheatland-Grinnell will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 36-23 non-league loss to Norton (Norton, KS). The Red Devils record now stands at 9-7.
