Maryland High School Basketball - Smithsburg can't hold off Francis Scott Key

The Francis Scott Key Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Smithsburg Leopards to 50 in the Eagles non-league victory on Monday.
The Eagles now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Catoctin for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Francis Scott Key will battle a Cougars team coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 17-3.
The Leopards (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Cavaliers come into the non-league contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, South Carroll edged Middletown (Middletown, MD), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
