Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) and the visiting Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), saw McDonough's basketball squad overcome Friendly by a tally of 48-35.

With the victory, McDonough improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Northern (Owings, MD) to play the Patriots in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, February 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Northern lost 52-32 in their recent league challenge against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD)

Next up, the Patriots play the Potomac Wolverines (Oxon Hill, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Friendly will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record.
