In Monday's league outing, the Tri-Valley Mustangs (Colton, SD) basketball squad edged the host McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), by a margin of 42-40.

The Mustangs (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Baltic (Baltic, SD). The Bulldogs go into the A Region 3 outing with a 2-17 record. In their last outing, Baltic was tipped by Flandreau (Flandreau, SD), 64-20, in a non-league outing.

The Fighting Cougars now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Madison for a A Region 3 outing on Thursday, February 15. McCook Central/Montrose will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 50-39 non-league loss to Milbank (Milbank, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-15.
