Connecticut High School Basketball - Trumbull can't hold off Staples

The Staples Wreckers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Trumbull Eagles to 44 in the Wreckers league victory on Monday.
The Wreckers now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Danbury for a Fairfield County contest on Wednesday, February 14. Staples will battle a Hatters team coming off a 63-35 league win over Darien (Darien, CT). The Hatters record now stands at 7-12.
The Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT). The Tigers come into the Fairfield County contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Ridgefield edged Greenwich (Greenwich, CT), 57-42, in a league contest.
