The Bishop Alemany Warriors basketball squad (Mission Hills, CA), was nudged 61-56 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA)

With the victory, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy advances its record to 18-10 on the year. The Warriors travel to Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, February 14. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 26-3. Mira Costa won 70-58 in their recent non-league battle against Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA)

The Warriors now own a 21-9 record.
