North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe holds off Union Academy

The Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Union Academy Cardinals to 45 in the Redhawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Redhawks now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Forest Hills for a non-league game on Friday, February 14. Monroe will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 45-42 league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Union Academy falls to 14-3 on the campaign.
