Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA), 63-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kingsley-Pierson upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign.

Next up, the Westerners play the Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) in a War Eagle bout, on Monday, February 27. Akron-Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 12-11 record after their 53-39 non-league loss to Boyden-Hull (Hull, IA).
