Virginia High School Basketball - Blue Ridge routs Carlisle

In Monday's league outing, the Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), by a count of 80-42.
The Barons (17-10) will now prepare for their outing against Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA). The Tigers go into the Virginia Independent match with a 19-4 record. In their last match, Hargrave Military Academy crushed Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA), 125-78, in a league match.
With the defeat, Carlisle moves to 12-11 on the year. The Chiefs travel to New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA) to meet the Gryphons in a VISAA Division IV match on Thursday, February 16. The Gryphons enter the match with a record of 17-8. New Covenant lost 68-19 in their recent non-league match against Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA)
