The Chassell Panthers basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Republic-Michigamme Hawks to 35 in the Panthers non-league victory on Monday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jeffers for a Copper Mountain - Copper County contest on Thursday, February 16. Chassell will battle a Jets team coming off a 78-30 league win over Republic-Michigamme (Republic, MI). The Jets record now stands at 16-0.

The Hawks (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Ewen-Trout Creek (Ewen, MI). The Panthers come into the Copper Mountain - Porcupine contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Ewen-Trout Creek was defeated by Wakefield (Wakefield, MI), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
