The Gillespie Miners basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Pawnee Indians to 50 in the Miners non-league triumph on Monday.

The Miners now sport a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Staunton for a South Central contest on Tuesday, February 14. Gillespie will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-36 non-league win over Pawnee (Pawnee, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-15.

The Indians (4-22) will now prepare for their contest against North Greene (White Hall, IL). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 7-20 record. In their last contest, North Greene triumphed over Greenview (Greenview, IL), 49-28, in a non-league contest.
