Mountain Lake/Comfrey/Mountain Lake Christian (Mountain Lake, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN), 71-51 in a non-league outing.

The (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Westbrook-Walnut Grove (Westbrook, MN). The Chargers go into the non-league outing with a 19-2 record. In their last outing, Westbrook-Walnut Grove defeated Springfield (Springfield, MN), 64-61, in a non-league outing.

The Indians now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Minnesota Valley Lutheran for a AA Section 2 outing on Tuesday, February 14. Sleepy Eye will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 82-55 league win over St. Clair (St. Clair, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 16-3.
