New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rahway Indians (Rahway, NJ), 61-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New Providence upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Millburn (Millburn, NJ) to play the Millers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 16. The Millers come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Millburn lost 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ)

Next up, the Indians play the Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Rahway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record.
