The Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) basketball felled the visiting Park Center Pirates (Brooklyn Park, MN), 69-58 in Monday's non-league test.

The Spartans (11-10) will now prepare for their test against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans go into the AAA Section 2 test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, New Prague was beaten by Waconia (Waconia, MN), 54-50, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 3-18 record. They play next when they travel to Champlin Park for a AAAA Section 5 test on Wednesday, February 15. Park Center will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 71-41 non-league loss to Andover (Andover, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 8-11.
