The Newton Rams held off the host Stephenson Jaguars soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Monday's non-league match.
The Rams now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Parkview for a 7A Region 4 match on Tuesday, February 21. Newton will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Walton (Marietta, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Stephenson drops to 2-1 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA) to encounter the Saints in a non-league match on Thursday, February 16. The Saints come into the match with a record of 0-2.
