Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Yazoo County Panthers (Yazoo City, MS), 40-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alcorn Central upgrades its record to 9-16 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Choctaw County won 53-46 in their recent non-league bout against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS)
