Almond-Bancroft Eagles (Almond, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Nekoosa Papermakers (Nekoosa, WI), 77-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Almond-Bancroft upgrades its record to 21-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Gresham Community (Gresham, WI) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-22. Gresham Community lost 61-58 in their recent non-league bout against Stockbridge (Stockbridge, WI)

Next up, the Papermakers clash with the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs (Wisconsin Dells, WI) in a South Central bout, on Friday, February 16. Nekoosa will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 61-53 non-league win over Lodi (Lodi, WI).
