Vermont High School Basketball - Arlington Memorial can't hold off Green Mountain

The Green Mountain Chieftains basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Arlington Memorial Eagles to 43 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chieftains now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host White River Valley for a Marble Valley - C contest on Friday, February 16. Green Mountain will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 91-42 non-league win over Springfield (Springfield, VT). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-2.
The Eagles (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Burlington (Burlington, VT). The Seahorses enter the non-league contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, Burlington nudged Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT), 59-55, in a league contest.
