Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY), 56-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastern upgrades its record to 17-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Oldham County (Buckner, KY) to clash with the Colonels in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 15. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 21-7. Oldham County lost 80-76 in their recent non-league bout against St. Xavier (Louisville, KY)

Next up, the Defenders clash with the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Bryan Station will attempt to upgrade on its 20-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 11-15 record after their 82-53 non-league loss to Woodford County (Versailles, KY).
