The Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) basketball felled the visiting Chequamegon Screaming Eagles (Park Falls, WI), 53-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Castle Guards (17-3) will now prepare for their test against Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Lumberjacks go into the Northern Lights test with a 16-6 record. In their last test, Drummond thwarted Winter (Winter, WI), 61-57, in a non-league test.
The Screaming Eagles now own a 3-18 record. They play next when they travel to Athens for a Marawood - North test on Friday, February 16. Chequamegon will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Pittsville (Pittsville, WI). The Bluejays record now stands at 8-13.
