Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY), 58-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Daviess County upgrades its record to 21-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Logan County (Russellville, KY) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 12-13.

Next up, the Cougars play the Christian Fellowship Eagles (Benton, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. McLean County will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-17 record after their 69-58 non-league loss to Hickman County (Clinton, KY).
