East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 74-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Webster upgrades its record to 21-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Booneville (Booneville, MS) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 25-2. Booneville won 70-40 in their recent non-league bout against Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS)
