In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Kennedy Crusaders (Chicago, IL), by a margin of 67-41.

The Astros (9-21) will now prepare for their outing against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors go into the South Suburban outing with a 13-10 record. In their last outing, Thornton Fractional North was trounced by Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 63-35, in a league outing.

The Crusaders now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they travel to Lindblom for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 21. Kennedy will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 72-65 non-league loss to Guilford (Rockford, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 16-11.
