Nebraska High School Basketball - Lyons-Decatur Northeast overwhelmed by Mead

February 13, 2024: Mead, NE 68041

The Mead Raiders basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars to 21 in the Raiders non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Raiders now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Johnson-Brock for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Mead will battle a Eagles team coming off a 78-26 league win over Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 21-0.

The Cougars (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (Wakefield, NE). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Wakefield triumphed over Winnebago (Winnebago, NE), 50-40, in a league contest.
