The South Newton Rebels basketball team (Kentland, IN), dropped 65-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting North Newton Spartans (Morocco, IN)
The Spartans now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Griffith for a non-league battle on Friday, February 16. North Newton will battle a Panthers team coming off a 63-60 non-league win over Bowman Academy (Gary, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 14-7.
The Rebels (3-16) will now prepare for their battle against North Miami (Denver, IN). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 2-18 record. In their last battle, North Miami dropped by Logansport (Logansport, IN), 80-47, in a non-league battle.
