In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Steele Comets (Amherst, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH), by a margin of 78-46.
The Comets (9-11) will now prepare for their outing against Avon (Avon, OH). The Eagles go into the Southwestern outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, Avon smashed Lorain (Lorain, OH), 63-45, in a non-league outing.
The Sailors now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Huron for a Sandusky Bay - Bay outing on Friday, February 16. Vermilion will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 72-43 non-league loss to Perkins (Sandusky, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 7-12.
