Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO), 44-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Alamosa upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Mean Moose travel to Bayfield (Bayfield, CO) to play the Wolverines in a 4A/3A Intermountain bout on Thursday, February 15. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 4-14. Bayfield won 32-28 in their recent non-league bout against Telluride (Telluride, CO)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Woodland Park Panthers (Woodland Park, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks bout, on Thursday, February 15. Manitou Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 43-35 league loss to Lamar (Lamar, CO).
