Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chippewa Hills Warriors (Remus, MI), 56-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Shepherd upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to play the Beavers in a Jack Pine bout on Friday, February 16. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 10-7. Beaverton lost 38-36 in their recent non-league bout against Valley Lutheran (Saginaw, MI)

Next up, the Warriors play the Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) in a Central State bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Chippewa Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, MI).
