Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA), 79-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newell-Fonda upgrades its record to 21-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to AGWSR (Ackley, IA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 13-9. AGWSR won 67-33 in their recent non-league bout against BCLUW (Conrad, IA)
