The Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) basketball knocked off the host Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), 47-29 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (11-13) will now prepare for their test against West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Colts go into the non-league test with a 21-6 record. In their last test, West Jessamine notched a victory over Lafayette (Lexington, KY), 60-45, in a non-league test.
The Briar Jumpers now own a 5-17 record. They play next when they host Southwestern for a non-league test on Friday, February 16. Somerset will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 67-61 non-league loss to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 16-10.
