The Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) basketball nipped the visiting Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD), 57-54 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Red Raiders (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD). The Black Panthers go into the A Region 5 test with a 7-12 record. In their last test, Platte/Geddes was tipped by Winner (Winner, SD), 55-40, in a non-league test.
The Tanagers now own a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Parker for a A Region 4 test on Friday, February 16. Vermillion will encounter a Pheasants squad coming off a 61-44 non-league loss to Garretson (Garretson, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 2-18.
