The Somerville Yeguas softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls to 5 in the Yeguas non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Somerville moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Yeguas host Taylor (Taylor, TX) to clash with the Ducks in a non-league game on Thursday, February 15. The Ducks come into the game with a record of 0-1. Taylor lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Hyde Park (Austin, TX)

In their next game, the Fighting Owls clash with the Alpha Omega Academy Lions (Huntsville, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 23. Anderson-Shiro will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
