West Valley Mustangs (Hemet, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles (Desert Hot Springs, CA), 25-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Moreno Valley for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 16. West Valley will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over La Sierra (Riverside, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Desert Hot Springs falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 15. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Big Bear lost 19-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Hesperia (Hesperia, CA)
