The El Modena Vanguards routed the host Segerstrom Jaguars softball squad by a final score of 7-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Vanguards (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA). The Stallions go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, San Juan Hills was routed by Foothill (Santa Ana, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Jaguars now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fullerton for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 17. Segerstrom will confront a Indians squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Indians record now stands at 2-1.
