Louisiana High School Basketball - Phoenix victorious over Covenant Christian Academy

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Phoenix Spartans basketball team scored a good 58-42 triumph over the Covenant Christian Academy Lions.
The Spartans (15-12) will now prepare for their contest against Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA). The Bobcats go into the non-league contest with a 23-8 record.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA) in a 1A District 7 contest, on Friday, February 14. Covenant Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 13-16 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 11-15 record after their 62-40 non-league loss to West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA).
