Illinois High School Basketball - North Clay/Clay City overwhelms Fairfield

The North Clay/Clay City basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Fairfield Mules to 40 in the non-league triumph on Thursday.
The now have a 19-9 record. They play next when they travel to Meridian for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. North Clay/Clay City will confront a Hawks team coming off a 71-35 league loss to Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 11-17.
With the loss, Fairfield falls to 15-12 on the campaign. The Mules travel to Edwards County (Albion, IL) to confront the Lions in a Black Diamond - East game on Friday, February 14. The Lions go into the game with a record of 19-8. Edwards County won 47-35 in their recent league game against Flora (Flora, IL)
