Colorado High School Basketball - Rye overwhelmed by Lamar

February 13, 2025: Rye, CO 81069

In Thursday's league test, the Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) basketball squad trounced the host Rye Thunderbolts (Rye, CO), by a score of 65-18.

Next, the Thunder encounter the Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO) in a 4A/3A Tri-Peaks test, on Saturday, February 15. Lamar will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 12-5 record after their 62-44 league loss to Salida (Salida, CO).

The Thunderbolts (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO). The Demons come into the 4A/3A Tri-Peaks test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Buena Vista bounced James Irwin (Colorado Springs, CO), 70-39, in a league test.
