Iowa High School Basketball - Newton overwhelms Des Moines North

The Newton Cardinals basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Des Moines North Polar Bears to 7 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now have a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Boone for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 19.

With the loss, Des Moines North falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Polar bears travel to Clarke (Osceola, IA) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Friday, February 14. The Indians go into the game with a record of 2-16.
