Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Benzie Central Huskies (Benzonia, MI), 70-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Big Rapids upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Newaygo (Newaygo, MI) to play the Lions in a Central State - Gold bout on Friday, February 17. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Newaygo won 79-56 in their recent league bout against Tri County Area (Howard City, MI)

Next up, the Huskies play the Leland Comets (Leland, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Friday, February 17. Benzie Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 69-29 non-league loss to St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI).
