Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hathaway upgrades its record to 9-24 on the campaign. The Hornets host Reeves (Reeves, LA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 12-17. Reeves lost 54-50 in their recent league bout against Northside Christian (Crowley, LA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. East Beauregard will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 55-46 non-league win over Gueydan (Gueydan, LA).
