In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), by a count of 65-44.
The Wildkits (23-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lake Forest (Lake Forest, IL). The Scouts go into the non-league outing with a 19-10 record. In their last outing, Lake Forest smashed Zion-Benton (Zion, IL), 57-37, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 16-15 record. They play next when they travel to Lakes for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 22. Vernon Hills will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 52-50 league win over Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 20-7.
