The Gibault Catholic Hawks basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Highland Bulldogs to 51 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 24-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marquette Catholic for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 16. Gibault Catholic will meet a Explorers team coming off a 44-33 non-league win over Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL). The Explorers record now stands at 18-12.
The Bulldogs (20-10) will now prepare for their contest against Waterloo (Waterloo, IL). The Bulldogs enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 8-22 record. In their last contest, Waterloo was nudged by Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL), 58-49, in a non-league contest.
