The Western Panthers basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Hastings Saxons to 33 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshall for a Interstate Eight contest on Friday, February 17. Western will battle a Redhawks team coming off a 50-48 league win over Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI). The Redhawks record now stands at 13-5.

The Saxons (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Northwest (Jackson, MI). The Mounties come into the Interstate Eight contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Northwest prevailed over Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI), 52-44, in a league contest.
