In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Lafayette Lancers basketball team scored a tight 44-42 triumph over the Whitfield Warriors.
In their next game, the Lancers meet the Mehlville Panthers (St. Louis, MO) in a Suburban - Red match, on Thursday, February 16. Lafayette will attempt to better on its 12-13 season record.
With the defeat, Whitfield moves to 5-13 on the year. The Warriors host De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, MO) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 21. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 14-5.
