The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets to 41 in the Lakes league victory on Tuesday.
The Lakes now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stephenson for a non-league contest on Friday, February 17. Lake Linden-Hubbell will battle a Eagles team coming off a 76-36 non-league win over Carney-Nadeau (Carney, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 10-8.
The Purple Hornets (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Wykons come into the non-league contest with a 0-18 record. In their last contest, West Iron County was routed by Calumet (Calumet, MI), 47-30, in a non-league contest.
