Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS), 68-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leake County upgrades its record to 22-9 on the season. The Gators travel to Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Bay Springs won 70-33 in their recent non-league bout against South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS)
