Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX), 59-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Maud upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Cardinals host Cooper (Cooper, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Cooper won 61-29 in their recent league bout against Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Rivercrest will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 25-6 record after their 48-33 league win over Whitewright (Whitewright, TX).
